📖 Afaqy Knowledge Base / Route
Introduction
Introduces the Route module as a powerful operational tool for planning, assigning, and optimizing vehicle movement. It provides an overview of how Route helps manage drivers; job orders, routes, and execution plans through a centralized, interactive interface.
Getting Started
Walks new users through the initial setup of the Route module after completing asset creation in AVL. It explains how units, drivers, and geofenced points become actionable resources for route planning and job assignment.
Dashboard
Provides a real-time overview of Route operations, visualizing performance metrics and KPIs related to job orders, route execution, unit efficiency, and driver responsiveness. It serves as the control center for ongoing performance monitoring.
Points
Manages the creation, bulk import, editing, and exporting of fixed geolocated points—like delivery locations or warehouses—originally mapped in AVL. These points act as the building blocks for creating optimized, repeatable routes.
Routes
Enables the creation, editing, and optimization of planned paths using the previously defined points. Routes can be fine-tuned by time or distance, exported for external use, and filtered by key attributes—ensuring task logistics are aligned with operational strategy.
Job Order
Represents the core of daily execution: job orders connect drivers, vehicles, routes, and tasks into actionable schedules. Users can create and monitor these in real time, making use of AVL-synced data to ensure vehicles and drivers are correctly assigned.
Plans
Facilitates the scheduling of job orders into organized plans across days, shifts, or weeks. It provides visibility over upcoming workloads, helps ensure timely task execution, and supports planning consistency across teams.
Drivers
Displays driver data imported from AVL and lets users allocate shifts and breaks. This ensures human resources are managed in coordination with route demands, especially for compliance with rest periods and coverage.
Units
Lists vehicles synced from AVL and allows for deeper configuration in Route, such as assigning time-off periods, setting storage capabilities, and defining acceptable sensor reading thresholds (humidity, temperature, weight) that trigger alerts if breached.
Cargoes
Allows users to define and track types of cargo being transported, attach cargo profiles to routes, and include handling instructions or temperature monitoring if sensors are used.
Reports
Offers detailed reporting tools covering job completion, route efficiency, driver performance, and anomalies (like weight deviation). These insights help refine future operations and validate compliance with SLA or logistics KPIs.
Incidents
Explains how to log and manage incidents that occur during route execution, such as delivery failures, breakdowns, or violations. Also includes workflow for status updates.
Templates
Supports the creation of questionnaire templates tied to driver routines, such as pre-trip checklists or compliance forms. Templates ensure standardized process adherence across fleet operations.
Settings
Provides configuration options for users, system defaults, permissions, and automation rules that govern route behavior, job assignment, and alerts.
