π Afaqy Knowledge Base / Tepra / IVMS / Tracking
The Tracking module in IVMS allows users to replay historical movement of vehicles and analyze trips, stops, and speed patterns. It is essential for route validation, incident verification, and performance audits.
Tracking supports multiple route visualizations and offers real-time controls for event and data inspection.
βΉοΈ
The system supports tracking sessions for up to 7 days per search.
Generating a track
- Click on Add Asset To Track.
- Select the desired vehicle(s) by typing the name or plate number.
- Specify the start and end dates and times.
- Choose one of the three Route Coloring that best matches your investigative needs:
Single: Shows one continuous route for the selected period regardless of speed or stop. Speed: Splits the route into segments colored by vehicle speed. - πͺ 0β30 km/h
- π¦ 30β60 km/h
- π© 60β90 km/h
- π¨ 90β120 km/h
- π₯ >120 km/h
Trips: Displays each trip separately with distinct colors. - Define Route Size (optional).
- Select the routeβs color by clicking this icon
(optional). - Click Track to load trips for the specified duration.
π
You can add and track up to 10 vehicles simultaneously while easily showing or hiding each one as needed.
Tracking Cards
Once trips are loaded, they appear in structured cards.
Each card reflects a single trip showcasing:
- Vehicle Name
- Start Date & Time
- End Date & Time
- Total Duration
- Points
- Stops
- Parkings
- Total Distance
Click
on any trip card to edit or delete it.
Tracking Tools
Starts playback for that specific route.
You can adjust the playback speed using the dropdown on the right, ranging from 1x to 1000x. Additionally, you have access to:
- Live data display (including timestamp, speed, coordinates, etc.)
- The option to reveal points by selecting Show Points
Controls the display of stops, and parkings.
Centers the map on the starting point of the trip.

Displays detailed tracking records:
DetailsWhile using playback or viewing a generated track in detailed view, the system provides real-time operational data. This enhances your ability to assess performance and detect anomalies during the trip.
Select this tab
to enable Timeline View (day by day):
Top Stats Include:
- Speed Gauge: Displays current speed of the vehicle during playback. The dial updates dynamically based on the time position in the track.
- RPM Gauge: Shows the engineβs RPM (revolutions per minute), indicating how hard the engine is working.
- Fuel Gauge: Indicates fuel level in both percentage and liters, helping monitor consumption.
Route Meta Data:
- Total Kilometers: Shows distance covered during the selected trip.
- Vehicle Angle: Displays the current angle of the vehicle in degrees.
- Satellite Count: Indicates how many satellites are locked to the unit.
- Engine Hours: Cumulative time the engine was running during the selected route.
- Altitude (Above Sea Level): Current vehicle altitude in meters.
Sensors Panel:
- Shows custom sensors attached to the vehicle, such as:
- ACC (Accessory Input) status
- Temperature Sensor reading
- Weight Sensor output
These values are updated as you navigate through the track using the playback controls.
StatisticsLeft Panel Includes:
- Driver name
- Vehicle type, model, and plate
- Mini map for route overview
Right Panel Graphs:
- Speed over time, colored by thresholds
- Temperature behavior along the track
- Kilometers gradually tracked
- Status Timeline: Visual breakdown of driving, idle, parking, etc.
