Audit Log

The Statistics section provides detailed, historical, and exportable operational data for units, alerts, and reporting activity. It is the main workspace for operators and support teams to monitor performance, investigate issues, and validate system behavior.

Overview

Statistics focuses on numerical data and tabular views rather than real‑time monitoring or visual trends. It allows users to:

  • Review historical device status
  • Analyze alerts and incidents
  • Validate reporting consistency
  • Export data for reporting and audits

Unlike the Dashboard, Statistics reflects what has already happened within a selected time range.

Accessing Statistics

The Statistics module is divided into the following sections:

  • Units – unit-centric operational statistics
  • Status – status-based system breakdowns
  • Others – auxiliary and derived statistics
  • Charts – visual representation of statistical data

Filters & Controls

All data displayed on the Statistics page is controlled by the following filters:

Unit & Scope

  • Single unit selection (applies to all user roles)
  • Group / Fleet selector (if enabled)
  • Status filter:
    • Online
    • Offline
    • No Signal

Actions

  • Refresh data
  • Export to Excel

All exports respect the selected filters and time range.

Units

The Units section provides unit‑centric statistics and is the most commonly used Statistics view.

Purpose

Analyzes the current availability and activity status of units, including their active/inactive state and real-time motion status, to support operational monitoring and decision-making.

image

Displayed Data

  • Total units count
  • Unit status distribution
  • Unit‑level operational metrics

Behavior:

  • Sortable columns
  • Selecting a unit opens detailed unit statistics

Status Definitions

  • Active: Unit reported data within the expected heartbeat interval
  • Inactive: Unit is registered but did not report during the expected interval
  • No Signal: The unit has never sent any data since it was added to the AVL system

Summary Metrics

  • Total Units: Total number of units in the system.
  • Active Units: Total count of units currently in an active state.
  • Inactive Units: Total count of units currently in an inactive state.
  • No Signal Units: Total count of units that have never reported data.

Device Status List

A tabular view showing one row per unit.

Displayed information:

  • Unit name / ID
  • Current status
  • Last seen date & time
  • Total online time
  • Total offline time
  • Total no signal time

Users can sort columns and select a unit to view more detailed information.

Status

The Status section is a status‑driven analytical view that focuses on device linkage and connectivity states, not just simple Online/Offline counters. This section is used to classify units by their operational readiness and configuration state, as shown in the video.

Purpose

To allow operators to quickly identify problematic or misconfigured units by grouping them under meaningful status categories and exposing their full technical details.

image

Status Categories

The Status section is divided into explicit system states, each represented by a selectable card:

  • Linked Devices
  • Units correctly linked to a device and reporting as expected.

  • Non‑Linked Devices
  • Units that exist in the system but are not linked to a tracking device or have incomplete linkage.

Percentages and counts are calculated relative to the total units in scope.

Status Header

When a status is selected, the header reflects:

  • Selected status name (e.g. Non‑Linked Devices)
  • Total units under this status
  • Percentage of total units
  • Snapshot timestamp (e.g. 20‑12‑2025 05:00:16)

This makes the Status view auditable and time‑aware, even though it is snapshot‑based.

Filters & Scope (Status View)

In addition to global filters, the Status table supports:

  • Geofence filter (optional)
  • Group filter

These filters refine the current status list without changing the selected status category.

Status Details Table

Selecting a status opens a detailed technical table listing all units under that status.

Displayed Columns:

  • Unit name / code
  • Device IMEI
  • Device serial number
  • SIM number
  • SIM serial
  • Device model / vendor
  • Vehicle battery voltage
  • Temperature readings (if available)
  • Humidity readings (if available)

Behavior & Interactions

  • Status cards act as primary navigation within this section
  • Table is sortable horizontally (large technical datasets)
  • Empty values are expected for non‑installed or unsupported sensors
  • Horizontal scrolling is supported due to wide technical columns

Operational Use Cases

  • Identify non‑linked or misconfigured units
  • Validate SIM and device provisioning
  • Troubleshoot missing sensor data
  • Support onboarding and installation audits

Others

The Others section provides a system‑wide inventory and configuration overview. Unlike Units and Status, this section is entity‑centric, showing counts of core platform objects rather than time‑based metrics.

Overview Cards

The Others section is presented as a set of high‑level counters, each representing a key system entity:

  • Geofences
  • Total number of geofences configured in the system.

  • Users
  • Total registered user accounts.

  • Customers
  • Total customer entities (if multi‑customer setup is enabled).

  • Trailers
  • Total trailers registered in the system.

  • Drivers
  • Total drivers configured and linked to units.

  • Events
  • Total system‑defined and custom events.

  • Protocols
  • Total supported or configured device communication protocols.

  • Packages
  • Total subscription or service packages defined in the system.

  • Reports
  • Total saved or generated reports.

  • Roles & Permissions
  • Total roles and permission profiles configured.

Behavior & Navigation

  • Each card displays:
    • Entity icon
    • Entity name
    • Total count
  • Selecting a card navigates the user to the corresponding management or listing page (if access is permitted).

Scope & Rules

  • Counts are system‑wide, not time‑filtered
  • Time range selector does not affect Others
  • Visibility of cards depends on user role and permissions

Operational Use Cases

  • System readiness and completeness checks
  • Administration and access audits
  • Validation of configuration before go‑live
  • Quick navigation to management areas
👉🏽

This view is typically used by administrators and system owners to understand the overall structure, usage, and readiness of the system.

Activity & Reporting

This section focuses on unit communication and data reporting quality.

Metrics

  • Reporting frequency per unit
  • Average reporting interval
  • Missing or delayed reports

Use Cases

  • Identifying silent or under‑reporting units
  • Investigating unstable connectivity
  • Verifying reporting compliance

Exporting Data

All statistics tables can be exported to Excel for offline analysis and sharing.

Exported files may include:

  • Device status data
  • Alerts logs
  • Reporting activity metrics
