The Trailers module enables users to manage, monitor, and analyze trailers independently or in association with vehicles. It provides centralized visibility into trailer identity, assignment, status, and operational usage, supporting better fleet utilization and compliance.

Trailers are treated as first-class assets within the platform and can be tracked, assigned, and reported on separately from powered units.

    Trailers List

The trailers list displays all registered trailers in the system.

    Selecting Columns

To choose columns that display additional details about the trailer, click the icon located in the table header. The Drivers section includes the following columns:

    iButton
The unique iButton identifier assigned to the trailer for identification and authorization.

    #
The sequence number of the trailer in the table (Indelible).
    Name
The name of the trailer as registered in the system (Indelible).
    RFID
The RFID card number linked to the trailer for access control or driver identification.

    💡

Trailers do not have an Active/Inactive status. All trailers are always active.

    Trailer Assignment

    • A trailer can be linked to one vehicle at a time.
    • Trailer assignment provides a trip-level association only

    Behavior & Rules

    • Trailers inherit the trip context from the assigned vehicle.
    • If a trailer is unassigned, it remains available for assignment and its historical records remain accessible.

    Trailers Management

The main objective of creating a digital representation for the trailer in the AVL system is to enable full control with ease. This section allows you to manage trailers by performing various tasks, such as importing new trailers, assigning them to users, creating trailer groups, and more.
