The Engine Hours section tracks the total hours a vehicle’s engine has been running. These logs are critical for scheduling services based on actual engine use rather than just mileage.
View
- The table displays:
- Vehicle Name / Plate Number
- Vehicle Description (e.g., model/make)
- Date
- Engine Hours (in hours)
- Actions
- Paginated view with navigation and item count per page
Filter
Available filters (appear in the right panel):
- Name – Filter by data source:
- Manually entered
- GPS integration
- Fuel Entry
- Issue
- Service Entry
- Work Order
- Click Apply Filters to narrow the results..
Create
To add an engine hour entry manually:
- Click + Add New
- Complete the form:
- Vehicle (required)
- Engine Hours (required)
- Optional: check Void Engine Hour if value is to be ignored or flagged
- Date (required)
- Time (required)
- Click Save
Actions
- Edit or delete an existing record using the buttons under the Actions column
- View entry source in the filter for audit trail
ℹ️ Engine hours are essential for preventive maintenance when mileage is not the sole indicator of wear.
