Tepra Core is the administrative backbone of the entire Tepra ecosystem, serving as the central configuration hub that empowers all connected applications

It plays a dual role: structuring the physical and operational entities within an organization (such as vehicles, locations, users, and vendors), and establishing the access rules, ownership models, and organizational hierarchy necessary to support scalable and secure deployment across all Tepra modules.

Unlike other applications in the Tepra suite, Tepra Core is not a monitoring or reporting tool. Instead, it provides the foundational building blocks and rule definitions that govern how assets are grouped, who can see or control them, where they operate, and how permissions and roles are enforced.

This setup is essential for powering modules like IVMS, Fleet, and any future extensions.

    Purpose & Functionality

    Tepra Core is designed to:

    • Centralize Asset Management: Serve as the single source of truth for vehicles, drivers, trailers, vendors, places, and more.
    • Unify Data Across Applications: Share assets across modules like Fleet, IVMS, or Journey without duplication or data silos.
    • Enable Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): Define permissions at both the user and group levels for each app or asset type.
    • Streamline Operational Configuration: Manage system-wide settings, business logic, and classifications.
    • Ensure Cross-App Visibility: Provide admins and users with real-time insights into asset usage and assignments across the ecosystem.

    Integration Across Modules

Tepra Core is not just a module—it’s the operational backbone of the platform. All other Tepra applications depend on Core for:

    • Asset availability
    • Permission control
    • User and account management
    • Configuration inheritance

Whether a dispatcher is assigning a truck to a route in Journey or a fleet manager is reviewing fuel usage in Fleet, they’re interacting with data sourced and governed by Tepra Core.

    Key Capabilities

    • Add, update, and categorize assets across multiple types
    • Create and manage user roles, permissions, and account groups
    • Define and assign geolocations and zones
    • Configure system preferences, taxonomies, and app behaviors
    • Share assets across modules dynamically, without duplication
    • Monitor asset availability, status, and ownership in real time
